تخرج من كلية الطب والجراحة بتقدير امتياز مع مرتبة الشرف ثم قضى نيابته فى مستشفى العباسية للصحة النفسية ثم تم تعيينه بالجامعه للتدريس واجراء الابحاث العلمية ولقد حضر العديد من المؤتمرات وورش العمل والكورسات التدريبية فى مجال الطب النفسي وانضم للعديد من المؤسسات والأكاديميات والجمعيات العلمية المحلية والعالمية
